PROLACTIN
Reports (t&c)Sample by 1 pm, report same day
FastingOvernight fasting and pooled samples is preferred for Prolactin. Draw sample between 8:00 AM & 10:00 AM. 3 - 4 hrs after patient has awakened.(Clinical History Required). Prolactin is secreted episodically. Pooling equal volume of serum from 3 samples drawn at 15-20 minutes intervals is recommended.
